our mission

Ferme Le Champs Libre is a farming business specializing in the artisanal production of fresh niche garlic sold both locally and throughout Canada. Since 2012, the farm has been characterized by a combination of semi-mechanized and manual, meticulous work and by its naturally grown methods with no chemicals or synthetic products.

Featured garlic

The most popular products are Quebec hard-neck garlic, garlic braids, and soft-necked storage garlic. There are also rare products, such as rose garlic and elephant garlic. Discover them now!

Salt Spring Extra Early

(Turban Group) The first garlic to be ready. Fresh around the first week of July and dried around the 4th week of July.

“Rose de Lautrec”

(Creole Group) Great, rich and complex taste. A very long shelf life (June-July). Brilliant color.

Music

(Porcelaine Group) It’s “Quebec garlic”. Sure value. Intense taste raw but rather mild when cooked. It often offers good yield potential in the garden.

Italian

(Artichoke Group) Fine and vegetal taste. Excellent in vinaigrette. Good potential for the caliber. Very good conservation.

Harvest season!

Our very first garlic is now picked and drying. Salt Spring Extra Early from the group Turban. Ready aroud mid august.

Whether for seed or for consumption, each bulb is sorted by hand and goes through a careful drying process to ensure the quality of the garlic we offer.
